IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME

To help combat the rising cost of living and ever increasing challenges families and vulnerable persons are facing; we would like to invite you to be a part of this year's Community Christmas Appeal.

The Millicent Christian Churches Association has no overheads or running costs, which means every dollar given during the appeal will go towards struggling Aussies in our community.

☆☆ The Short Version:

We need your help to create 300 hampers for struggling and disadvantaged people within our Wattle Range area. We can't do it all and we can't do it alone, but a little given can go a long way together.

☆☆ The Long Version:

Maybe you'd like to help us sponsor another family's Christmas this year. For just $70 per household, we can achieve far more together than we could individually.

While we do receive many wonderful donations of toys, non-perishable goods and other miscellaneous presents throughout the appeal window; giving financially is the greatest way to ensure all 300 families or vulnerable persons serviced through our appeal this year receive the greatest gift of hope possible.

We've been unable to provide grocery cards, uniform vouchers, or meat trays the past couple of years, but would love to make the hampers extra special again this year.

Helping us to purchase pre-packaged Foodbank Hampers not only supports the great work they are doing, but ensures every family gets the same essentials covered, which will alleviate some of the constant pressure and anxiety they are feeling and give the gift of hope for the future.

We are also able to add so much more, above and beyond the base hamper, which means many families and vulnerable persons in our community will have something special to look forward to on Christmas day.

The Foodbank Hampers cost:

☆☆ $38 per Festive Pack with assorted groceries, essentials, a gift and special treats.

☆☆ $50 per Traditional Hamper with more food items to stretch further in bigger families, but less special treats.

For our Foodbank delivery this year we need $13,800 to cover these base packs and then we will add so much more to each of the 300 Hampers than what you or I could achieve on our own with that $38 or $50. All thanks to generosity of local sponsors and other community partners like yourselves.

This Hamper will also include:

☆ 1kg of Potatoes

☆ 1kg of Onions

☆ Other fruit and vegetables

☆ Other assorted non perishable groceries

☆ Toilet paper, tissues and paper towels generously donated by Kimberley-Clark Australia (Millicent Mill)

☆ Hygiene Packs

☆ Christmas Cakes and Puddings generously donated by Millicent Lions and Lionesses Clubs.

☆ Toys, books and other gifts for kids and adults so everyone has something special to bring a smile to their face alongside meeting some basic needs.

If we can fundraise $70 per Hamper (that's only $21,000 for 300!) we will also be able to supply a meat tray voucher to every recipient.

For just $70 per household or vulnerable person, we can give out more food, essentials and Christmas Gifts than they (or we!) could achieve on our own and alleviate some cost of living pressures for the neighbours in our own backyard, the Wattle Range, this Christmas.

Please give generously and help us also share the most important gift of all this Christmas: HOPE.
